When ,a verdict of accidental death was re- | tinned yesterday at a Woking iniuuest it was stated that the nest had I blocked the vent pipe of a gas geyI scr. causing her to lie asphyxiated. A lodger in the house declared that the day before Miss Crouch’s death he was overcome while having’ a bath anil collapsed in a faint. He told Miss Crcuch. but apparently she had done nothing to put matters right. Mr G. Wills Taylor, the coroner, said he hoped the publicity, given to the case would prevent similar tragedies. i
