EYSTON’S LATEST SUCCESS. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT., BONNEVILLE, April 30. At the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, on Thursday, Captain Eyston set a new motor record. He attained a speed of 158,7 miles an hour. Captain Eyston used a Diesel-powered automobile. t His record run was made over a seven miles section of the glistening white salt track, which was used by Sir Malcolm Campbell. The record run was one of three. On the first run he made 155.33 miles per hour. On the second he did 153.74 miles. The third run saw 158.7 m.p.h. registered. The track was damp and sticky, but solid. Streamlined “Flying Spray” raced three miles, then went over the measured mile, and then came to a stop three miles further on.
