GREYMOUTH-SECOND DAY ARROWROSE WINS The Greymouth Jockey Club’s second Autumn Meeting is being held at Omoto to-day in fine, but overcast weather. The track is in good order. There is a good attendance. The Municipal Band is present. Results: — SECOND WEST COAST BREEDERS’ STAKES, of £5O. Five and a-half furlongs: — 1 E. Kingan’s b.m. Jennings) 3 Also started: 4 Polistina (L. H. Jones) 8.0, 6 Gilford (Sheehan) 8.2, 5 Othyrs (V. Lee) 8.2, 7 Roy Bun (J. Moore) 8.2. Won by three lengths, two lengths. Time 1.8. Polistina was fourth.

Landraid and Free Rose were withdrawn from the Breeders* Stakes, Arrowrose being made a hot favourite. Gilford was first away, but Arrowrose, who was slow to find her feet, raced to the front along the back, and was never afterwards headed, winning easily. Gilford tired crossing the top, and into the straight Arrowmid was in second place, followed by Metric. In the run home, Arrowrose was never troubled, and Arrowrriid beat Metric by two lengths for second. Then came Polistina and Gilford. Tote £4511. AVONDALE J.C. AUCKLAND. April 18.
