AUTOMATIC GUN DETECTOR

INSTALLED AT SING-SING OSSINING (U.S.A.), Dec. 27. An automatic weapon detector has been installed at Sing-Sing prison pates. It sets up an 'electric field that is disturbed when any metal object conies near it. . It will sound an alarm when a visitor bearing a revolver or other large metal object passes through the gate. Prison officials have been experimenting with the detector for some time past. It is believed to be infallible. —B.U.P.
