H. SINQJI V, VENTER. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION-] GISBORNE, December 12. In an interesting and lively bout this evening, Harbin - Singh (India), 14,4, beat' Peter' Venter ’’'(South Africa) 14.7. Singh scored the opening fa}l in the fourth found with a Boston Crab, but Venter equalised in the following round with a body' press. The deciding fall occurred in the sixth round, Singh registering a body press: " , ANDRESEN V. J. SINGH. NEW PLYMOUTH, December 12. Ole Andresen find Jagat Singh wrestled a drawn bout at Hawera tonight. Andresen whs given a submission fall in the fourth round with a Swedish clam and full Nelson with the legs. In the eighth round, Jagat picked up Andresen with a crutch' hold and dumped him. A repetition of this procedure was sufficient to give Jagat a fall. mccready and wade. The Greymouth 'Boxing Association received advice from the Dominion Wrestling Union . to-day that all arrangements had been completed with the principals in the.‘bout to take place at the Town Hall, Greymouth; to-morrow night. Earl McCready is now regarded as the champion, of the British Empire, and he will arrive in Greymouth via Nelson, while Glen Wade will travel by way of Christ* church. This match has been arranged for the Greymout'h Association with a view of recouping it for the bopt previously abandoned, and' such a satisfactory match should more than compensate wrestling fans for their previous disappointment. Three preliminaries will take place, between G. Geddes, apd L. Zampesi, both of Greymouth, J. Novar and T. Tones, both of Greymouth, while J. Blanchfield' (Greymouth), and R. Smith (Blackball) wily again trhy conclusions.
