Mr. R. F. Lockwood, Telegraph Branch, Post and Telegraph Depart; ment, Christchurch, has been transferred to Greymouth.

The engagement is announced, of Alice Grace, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs T. G. Hayden; Rutherglen, to Richard George Seddon, third son of Mr and Mrs W. CJ Mayne, Ngahere.

A Sydney cablegram announced the death of Mr. Henry Perdriau, aged 90, an outstanding personality in the rubber manufacturing industry, inAustralia, and a director of Dunlop Perdriau Ltd. ■ ■■

The death occurred yesterday afternoon,, at the Grey_ Hospital of Thomas Albert Rundle, a native of No Town, ■ aged 59 years. / Deceased, • who had resided all his life on trie/West Coast, was a gold miner, and later engaged in the sawmillink industry. For the past 24 years he had resided in Greymouth, being a member of the Waterside Workers* Union. He is survived by his wife, and one daughter, Mabel, also two sisters, Mrs. R. C. Heffernan (Greymouth) and Mrs. W. R. Moore (Cobden), and one brother, Edward (Greymouth). The funeral will take place to-morrow afternoon at the-Kar-oro Cemetery.
