In the the first spell tries were scored for Taranaki by Edwards, Sullivan aud R. Young, and W. Young converted Sullivan’s try. Taranaki led 11—-0 at half time. At the opening of the second spell, Canterbury showed some iorm. Burke and Polson scored tries ayd McAuliffe converted Polson’s try. These were Canterbury’s only scores/.
