The death occurred yesterday, at Masterton. of Mr. William Cooper, who raced West Tor. Sunbonnet, Montana, and other horses. Ho was 65 years of age.

Mrs. William Pendleburv of Runanga. who yesterday' underwent , af operation at the Grey Hospital, was last evening reported to be progressing favourably.

The death occurred on Sunday, at the residence of his daughter. Mrs. W. Fettes, Khandallah. Wellington, of Mr. Edward Adkins. Deceased, who was Coaching Foreman in the Railway's Department, for many years, retired on superannuation, at Greymouth. He had since resided in Wellington. He is survived by his wife and daughter.

The death occurred suddenly at Christchurch, this morning, of James Malcolm Gray, husband of Elizabeth Gray, of Greymouth, aged 52 years. Deceased, a native of Dunedin, was in the Loco Branch of the Railways Department. Greymouth, and was in Christchurch, on holiday. He had been a Railways employee for the past 33 years. He is survived by his wife and three young children. The body will be brought to Greymouth by this evening's train from Christchurch, for interment.

The wedding took place at St. Patrick’s Church, Greymouth, of Elizabeth Ann Marie, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brady, Nine Mile, to Hector John, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Doyle. Rapahoe. The bride wore a trained gown of white silk velvet, made with a draped bodice and cowl sleeves which were tight fitting from the elbows and trimmed with small crystal buttons. Her tulle veil fell from a silver coronet and she carried a shower bouquet of freezlas, lilies, sweet peas and maiden hair fern. Miss Moyra Murphy, Runanga, attended the bride, attired in a frock of green silk velvet made on slimming lines with a shoulder cape lined with gold satin and trimmed with flat gold buttons. She carried a shower bouquet of autumn-tinted abutilons. Wee Jean Russell and Terrance Longley were flower girl and page boy respectively, attired in an ankle length frock of pale pink satin with tiny rosebud trimming, pale pink satin and green silk velvet knickers forming the pageboy’s suit. Mr. W. Page, Runanga. was best man. A reception was held at Herb. Moore’s Cabaret. The bride’s mother received the guests. The bride and bridegroom left for Christchurch, the bride travelling in a velvet Russian costume, face cloth coat, and small hat.

Tho wedding was celebrated at the Sacred Heart Church, Reefton,

yesterday, of Dorothy, second daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. J Ileslop, to John Joseph O'Donnell, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. O'Donnell. Greymouth. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father J. Butler who also celebrated Nuptial Mass, Mrs. Fowler presided at the organ and Miss Eileen laud. Greymouth, sang "AveMarfa." The bride, who was escorted by her father, to the strains of the

Wedding March, wore a slightly trained gown of magnolia satin fashioned on slim fitting lines, tho back being finished with buttons to tho waist. Tho cowled neckline was finished in front with a spray of orange blossom, and the sleeves, cowled at the shoulders, were finished with buttons and tight-fitting to the wrists. Her veil was of embroidered tulle crowned with a coronet of orange blossom buds and she carried a bouquet of carnations and freesias intermingled with maiden hair fern. In attendance was her sister. Miss Joan Heslop, who wore a frock of b'ue crepe suedette. with radium lace forming the inset yoke, and upper portion of long I !.- hop sleeves. The neckline was fastened with a silver leaf, and round he>- waDl she wore a silver lame girdle with hat and shoes to tone. Mr. J. M. Irving was best man.
