[orm OWN OOKBXSPONMNT.J The adjourned annual meeting of the Brunner Old Boys’ Association w r as held in the Wallsend Library. Mr T. Morgan presided over a good attendance. The election of officers resulted:—Committee—Messrs F. Williams, W. Richards, J. Pender, M. Creagh, W. Carse , J. Hallinan, J. Wick, F. Boustridge, W. Temperley. Chairman, Mr T. Morgan. Secretary, Mr R. Boustridge.

The matter of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Brunner Borough was introduced, and a lengthy discussion followed. Finally, it was resolved that a special meeting bo called in Wallsend to go further into the ques-

tion. In the meantime, Messrs Boustritlgo and Carse (Stillwater and Dobson), Morgan and Richards (Taylorville) were appointed canvassers with the object of enrolling as many members as possible before the date of the meeting.

The Brunner Branch of the New Zealand Labour Party held a dance in tho Wallsend Miners’ Hall on Friday evening. There was a large attendance ot dancers. The music was supplied by Miss M. Watson. Mr W. Carse was M.C.

The Taylorville Tennis Club held a whist drive in the Taylorville School on Saturday evening. The drive was well patronised, and resulted: Miss M. Fentiman 1. Mrs T. Morgan 2. Consolation prizes were awarded to Misses M. Rodgers and J. Nimmo. Supper was served by the lady members of the club.
