At Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah, John Cobb, a British racing motorist covered 152.11 miles in an hour while driving on >the Salt Flats to-day. He is claiming a world record, and also world record marks for 154.46 miles an hour for 50 kilometres; 153.13 miles an hour for 100 kilometres; 153.24 miles per hour for 200 kilometres; 150.60 miles per hour for 50 miles; and 152.95 miles per hour for 100 miles. CYCLING. The following are the handicaps for the road race, Karoro to Paroa and return, to be conducted by the Greymouth Sports and Cycling Club at 11 a.m. to-morrow: P. Duffy scr., J. Daniels, J. RIFLE SHOOTING

The third shoot for the third competition was decided by members of the Grey Ladies’ Rifle Club at the ClubT" range last evening. Miss N. Hamilton won the Hotty Button with a score of 68. The following were the scores with handicaps:— i
