In the final of the associates State Golf championship to-day, Miss Joan Hammond defeated Mrs Olive Robinson at the 37th hole, after a magnificent. struggle. Mrs Robinson was one up at the end of the morning round, and was five up at the 23rd hole. Miss Hammond, however, staged a remarkable recovery to win at the 37th. Miss Hammond thus retains the title. VICTORIAN TITLE. MELBOURNE, July 12. In the final of the Victorian women’s golf championship, Mrs Sloan Morpeth defeated Mrs Enos Shaw 10 and 9. The match was played in rain. This is Mrs Sloan Morpeth’s fourth championship. She was in fine form. TEAM FOR AUSTRALIA. LONDON. July 12.
