SATURDAY’S MATCHES. The week-end “A” Grade competition was finalised on Saturday, Technical Old Girls proving the winners. The section winners in the “B” Grade competition, Runanga A and Runanga B, will play off next Saturday. Owing to the change from the Wednesday to the Saturday half-holiday, the Wednesday and Saturday competitions will be concluded at the end of the first round and one new competition in each grade will be commenced. The following table indicates the result of the “A” Grade matches in the first round: —

A Grade: Technical Old Girls 2, St. Mary’s A. 9. Blaketown 17, Technical B 12. Convent Old Girls 10, Techncial A 8.

B Grade —Section 1: St. Mary’s-C 7; Technical D 6. Taylorville 1, Grey Main Old Girls 1. Runanga A 25, Runanga Convent Old Girls 2.

B Grade —Section 2: Blaketown 7, Technical J 2. Runanga B 27, Technical C 4. St. Mary’s B, a bye.

The following fixtures have been arranged for Wednesday: — St. Mary’s A v. Blaketown, at McGinley Park, at .4 p.m. (Miss Ray). Mayfair* v. Convent Old Girls, at Convent, at 3 p.m. (Miss McKay). Technical Old Girls v. Technical B, at McGinley Park, at 4 p.m. (Mrs Batchelor). Technical A, a bye. B Grade —Section 1: Technical C v. Taylorville, at Cobden, at 4 p.m. (Miss Rohloff). St. Mary’ B v. Convent Old. Girls B, at Convent, at 4 p.m. (Miss Gardner).
