To-night the final screening, of the current double feature programme at the Regent will be given. Acclaimed as one of the most colourful and sparkling screen romances in seasons, “Love Time” is the first attraction. Th 6 new and delightful “Pat” Paterson has her beat role to date as the sweetheart of a world-famous composer, and Nils Asther, playing the composer, is said to -top all his past film achievements. “Love Time” tells a tender story, of youthful passion, struggle and triumph. After a nightmare of uncertainty and separation, two lovers are reunited by means of the young composer’s haunting music. Such famous airs, of Schubert’s as the “Abschiedj” ‘Moment Musical,” “Who is Sylvia?” and the melodious “Serenade’’ are woven into the action of the film. “Gambling Lady,”' the other feature, is set in the gay, gambling halls where the idle rich are taken over the jupms for their money by a syndicate of gamblers that holds the city in its grip. The story is climaxed by a cold-blooded murder carried out by the syndicate, for which an innocent man is Arrested. Barbara Stanwyck lias the stellar role.

MONDAY—“JACK AHOY.” Showing very adequately how the Navy should not be run, and doing those little things well calculated to send any self-respecting Admiral into a paralytic fit, Jack Hulbert will star on Monday, commencingZat a special matinee, in his latest picture, “Jack Ahoy.” BLAKETOWN CLUB DANCE A complimentary dance will be tendered the visiting Granity footballers, in the Blaketown Hall to-night, by the Blaketown Rugby Club. There will be special novelties, and good music will be supplied. MONDAY NIGHT DANCE. Dancers will be eager to spend Monday night at Herb Moore’s Cabaret, where a Complimentary Ball will.be tendered to Canterbury Rugby representative team. Supper will be served upstairs, and old time and jazz dances will be the features of the evening, also many novelty dances, including a balloon dance, for which good prizes are offered. GRAND PLUNKET BALL. Having the choice of dressing in gipsy or coster costumes; as well as being robed in other fancy dresses, is an innovation that will be greatly appreciated by dancers attending the grand Plunket Ball at Schaef’s Hall, on Tuesday, June 11. Many novelty dance items will be presented, including numbers by professional artists. Good prizes will also be offered for the best costumes. The Kit-Kat Dance Band has been engaged, and an excellent sit-down supper will be provided. Mr P. Coll is master of ceremonies.’

DUNEDIN PIPE BAND The champion pipe band of the Dominion will visit Greymouth to-mor-row. Weather permitting the band will render a programme at the Children’s Park at 2.30 p.m. In the evening the best local talent will be heard in the concert programme. Selections will be given by the band, also a quartette and duet, Misses Freeman Brown, N. Hopkins and Johnson. Mr. Paterson, L.R.A.M. at the piano and Messrs E Boote and A. Airns.
