BOXING
JACOBS DEFEATS FISHER.
[PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.]
MASTERTON, May 31.
Ern. Jacobs, of Wellington, scored a points decision over Kid Fisher, of England, in a ten-rounds professional boxing contest before a packed house here. It was a good, even go, both lads giving sound displays. Consistent leading and cleaner hitting gained the decision for Jacobs. Fisher, who was making his first appearance in New Zealand, showed himself to be a game, clever boxer.
