MIDDLESEX v. S. AFRICANS. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.) LONDON, May 25. The South African cricketers began a match against Middlesex at Lord’s, to-day. South Africa batted first, and made 202. Middlesex lost one for 28 before stumps were drawn. Robins won the toss and sent the South Africans in on a rain-soaked wicket, which was increasing the difficulty under a sharp breeze.
