VIOLINIST AND FILMS.
MELBOURNE, May 25.
The father of the famous eighteen year-old violinist, Yehudi Menuhim, has refused an offer of 500,000 dollars, from a leading film corporation for his son’s appearance in Hollywood scenarlio, which was submitted to him before he left America on lhe Australian tour.
Menuhim, in the cou.rse of his reply, said he could not allow his son to cheapen his art. “There is an abyss between Yehudi's genius and the very commercial talent that serves Hollywood.”
