Pincus and Hannah Fisch, the brother and sister of Isidot Fisch, a friend of Bruno Hauptmann, have made a demand on the Slate ol New Jersey for reimbursement of losses sustained as the result ol their visit to the U.S.A, to testify al the Hauptmann trial.
Il will be remembered that Isidor, who died at Leipzig last year from tuberculosis, was repeatedly mentioned by Hauptmann as the man from whom he received ransom money. Pincus now declares that detectives who went to Leipzig and induced him. his sister and Isidor’s nurse to come to America, promised them LIOO as compensation for loss of time, but so far they have only received £6. Prosecutor Wilentz denied any knowledge of a contract to pay Fisch anything. "1 only say." he said. “I hope he doesn’t get it. The State of New Jersey entertained Fisch and his party royally, and gave them every consideration."
