A notice to destroy rabbits was sent from Matamaia by the inspector ot the East Waikato Rabbit Board to the Auckland owners of property in tiie Board's area, but the post office box number to which it was addressed was incorrect. The result was that the notice was received by an Auckland business man and inadvertently opened. It happened that the business man was a humorist, and had time to replv to the inspector. “My office girl," said' he. "passed some facetious remarks about the yellow, green ana purple rabbits which gambol over my desk after ‘a night out.' However, it is impossible to destroy them. Mhen the l.tter was read to Friday's Board meeting it was greeted with heaity ’avghter.
