SHIPPING NOTES. The Rata arrived this morning from Onakaka, and is to sail to-night, for Onakaka, Tarakohe and Nelson. The Alexander arrived this morning, from Wellington, and is to sail this afternoon, for Westport and Picton.

The Kaimai arrived this morning, from New Plymouth, and is to sail to-morrow afternoon, for Wellington, Miramar and New Plymouth. The James Cook is to sail this afternoon, for Sydney and Newcastle, with timber.

The Kalingo is to sail to-morrow, for Sydney and Melbourne, with timbe.r. The Omana loads Greymouth cargo at Newcastle and Sydney to-day, via New Plymouth and Wellington. The Kaimiro is due to-morrow from Westport, to load timber for Melbourne and Adelaide. The Gabriella leaves Port Ahuriri this afternoon, for Greymouth. AT OTHER PORTS. WESTPORT, April 26. Sailed at 9.30 a.m., Poolta, for Greymouth. WELLINGTON, April 26. Arrived 9 a.m., Gael, from Hokitika. SYDNEY, April 25. Niagara, sailed for Auckland at midnight. LONDON, April 24. Arrivals: At Southampton, Port Hobart; at Balboa, Bear of Oakland. Departures: from Christobal, Zealandic and Sultan Star; from Curacao, Tamaroa; from Port Said, Otira.
