[BY CABLE—PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.) SEA LION HOBART, April 24. A large sea lion was found asleep on a footpath in New Norfolk, 22 miles from Hobart. Attempts were made to capture it, and a rope was placed around the neck, but it broke away, and clambering over a paling fence, escaped into the Derwent River. It was nine feet long, and very fat.

Premier Dunstan said that the Government had called for departmental reports concerning the best methods of minimising floods in those areas which regularly suffer therefrom. The Government is prepared to take immediate action to apply a remedy.
