CAUCUS LOSES AUTHORITY N.S.W. LABOUR DECISIONS [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] SYDNEY, April 19. The Easter conference of the State Labour Party, to-day, resolved to deprive the Parliamentary Labour caucus of the time-honoured right of electing its own leader, which automatically allows Mr Lang to continue in that office. Many Labour stalwarts described the innovation as. most repugnant, amounting to a form of Fascism, ft also forestalls any attempt to remove Mr Lang from the leadership of the Labour Party, in the event of Labour losing the forthcoming election. The conference, which unprecedently concluded the Easter deliberations in one day, affirmed the. desirability that the next Labour Government should legalise all starting price betting shops throughout the State.
