RACEHORSE MISSING
ELLERSLIE SENSATION POLICE SEARCH FAILS [FEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, April 20. The race horse, Prince Colossus, entered for. the President’s Handicap at Ellerslie, to-day, has disappeared. The horse, trained at Cambridge, was lodged at stables in Campbell road, near Ellerslie. When "the attendant went to get him yesterday morning, to give him track work on the course, he found that the padlock on the stable door had been forced, and the horse was missing. Other horses in the stable had not been interfered with. The police w T ere informed and detectives have since been searching without result. Prince Colossus is a five-year-old gelding, leased by Mr A. Cameron of Hamilton, from Mrs M. C. Keaney, who formerly raced him.
