POLICE STOP BOUT. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] SYDNEY, March 31. Ac Leichhardt Stadium, a wrestling bout between Lurich and Billy Meeske ended in an uproar when, at the conclusion of the sixth round, six police officers, the two contestants and four attendants, became involved in a wild scene outside of the ring. The police stopped tire bout, and Lurich was marched to the room by live officers. The sixth round was a particularly wild affair, both men exchanging heavy punches. The crowd roared when the wrestlers crashed through tire ropes, and began to wrestle on the floor. The seconds tried, with the aid of the police, to separate them. Eventually this was accomplished. Lurich, however, broke free, and he charged Meeske, but he was .again grabbed by the police and was marched away, still struggling. Each man had previously obtained one fall.
