ROUMANIAN CROWN JEWELS

WAR SECRET DISCLOSED. BUCHAREST, February 17. An echo of the Great War, when Roumanian Crown jewels were sent to Moscow for safe keeping, was heard in the Chamber to-day. The Foreign Under-Secrotary announced that 1,000 boxes, containing valuable archives, would shortly arrive here from Moscow.

The Crown jewels were taken to Moscow as a measure of safety, as Roumania was being overrun by the enemy. After the outbreak of the Bolshevik revolution they were brought back by a foreign secret agent.
