[PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.] . FRUIT AUCTIONS. CHRISTCHURCH, December 29. An amicable settlement of the dispute between the buyers and the brokers in the Christchurch fruit trade was reached at a conference held yesterday afternoon. It was stated that the brokers accepted most of the proposals made by the Buyers’ Association. At the conclusion of the conference there was much hand-shaking between the buyers and the brokers, and the broker whose auction mart had been the subject of the boycott since Thursday morning, was assured of support in the future.
