[OIJB OWN CORRESPONDENT.] The shortage o£ water and the dust nuisance are making themselves severely felt in this district. Mr and Mrs D. Scott have left to reside in Hokitika, where Mr Scott has secured a position. Mr P. Williams, Eketahuna, and Mr C. Williams, Wellington, are on a Visit to their parents, Mr and Mrs W. Williams, Taylorville. Mr and Mrs J. Smith, Christchurch, are the guests of Mrs A. Smith, sen., Taylorville. Mr J. Warren, sen., Christchurch, is on a visit to his sons. and Mrs Mclntosh, Dunedin, are on a visit to their son, Mr A., McIntosh, Brunner. Mr W. Mclntyre, Sou,th Westland, is visiting Mr and Mrs W. Richardson, Stillwater. Mr L. Walton, Taylorville, and Mr W. Thinn, Dobson, who have been visiting Christchurch, returned by Thursday’s express. Mr and Mrs G. Smith returned home from a holiday visit to Christchurch.
