BYRD EXPEDITION

THE LAST FLIGHT, [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] LITTLE AMERICA, December 18. Another attempt to make an aerial exploration of the north-eastern peaks was defeated when June was forced to turn back by heavy fogs, after being an hour in flight at a high altitude. The motors of the plane stopped when the petrol supply failed. The plane nearly crashed, but June managed to bring the craft back to camp safely. Admiral Byrd has indicated that no more flight attempts will be made.
