Galloping MEETINGS TO COME. December 26—Waipukurau J.C. December 26, 27—Taranaki J.C. December 26, 27—Dunedin J.C. December 26, 21t, 29 — Manawatu December 26, 29—Westland R.C. December 26, 28, January 1, 2— Auckland R.C. January I—Waikouaiti R.C. January 1. —Wyndham. January 1, 2.—Greymouth. January 1, 2—Hawke’s Bay. January 1, 2.— Stratford. January 1,2. —Marton. Greymouth Nominations: Nominations for the Greymouth Jockey Club’s summer meeting, to be held on January 1 .and 2, close tonight at nine o’clock, with the secretary, Mr. M. J. Fogarty. Work at Omoto: There was a large attendance of early track watchers at Om<sto this morning, several ladies being included amongst the gathering. The track is in excellent order, if still a little hard for some of the horses. First Out:’ Nautipol and Arctic Star' were first out, and did a useful gallop over’ five furlongs, in 1.6 J. Margaret Rose followed, being restricted to jogging exercise over a mile and a-half, on the sand, Arrowmid Alone: The best gallop was that executed by Arrowmid, who ran alone over’ five furlongs in 1.4, and did her work in most pleasing style. She has improved and should be at her best for the circuit.

Mataa Reappears: Mataa made her reappearance after a long absence, and did light work. She is naturally big in condition but may be raced towards the close of the circuit.

Rothen in Form:

Rothen and Forceful galloped the reverse way over six furlongs in 1.20. Forceful was not able to foot it with Rothen, who pleased by the easy manner in which he worked. He can be ticked off for an early success.

Sent Out Twice: Haulbowline and Patrole covered six furlongs in 1.19, Patrole being of no use to his companion. Lee sent Patrole out later with Top Gallant, and the former made an improved effort, the pair finishing together over four furlongs in 50 4-5.

Easy Exercise: Maroration worked on the sand, ana Royal Sceptre was not sent against the taking 55t to cover four furlongs.

Sisterina Improved: Sisterina and Free Rose galloped over five and a half furlongs in 1.14 4-5. Sisterina finished well in front, and shows improvement with every gallop. She is a most promising type, and one likely to require only a little experience before she opens her winning account. r

Last Before Breakfast: Sundancer worked on 5 the plougn. Lady Rene and Copenna finished together over six furlongs, in 1.20. Copenna did not gallop attractively earlier this week, but she hit out freely this morning. AUCKLAND ACCEPTANCES. AUCKLAND. December 14.
