[OUB OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Fire completely destroyed the threeroomed residence of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fisher in McDougall Avenue, Dunollie, late on Saturday night. Mr and Mrs. Fisher were both absent at the time. It was first noticed by Mr. H. Wearner at about 10 o’clock, but nothing could be done to save the building, nor the garage adjacent. The only article of value saved was a motor cycle. The insurances in the Mercantile and General Company were for £lOO on the. dwelling, £lOO on the contents and £2O on the garage. A sum of money was also lost in the fire. At a special session of the Methodist, Sunday School yesterday, honour was paid to Miss Joan Wainman for her many years’ service as organist, on her approaching marriage. After referring to her association with the school, Mr. T. Walker, on behalf of the staff and scholars, presented her with a dinner set, and wished her a happy wedded life. Mrs. Shotton also paid -tribute for the services Miss Wainman had rendered.
