CANADIANS “SCOOP POOL” [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, December 2. Competing in a series of special invitation scratch contests against selected local athletes, the Canadian Secondary School Champions “scooped the pool” at the Basin Reserve on Saturday afternoon. Although no records were broken, the standard in the various divisions was particularly high. The visitors demonstrated their superiority by winning ten of the twelve events in which they tried conclusions with the representatives of Wellington Clubs. OXFORD v. CAMBRIDGE. LONDON. December 1. Cambridge defeated Oxford by 6 to 1 in the relay meeting., and would have made a record by winning all events, but were disqualified in the 880 yards low hurdles, after finishing firsi.
