OPERA HOUSE—TO-NIGHT. A double star programme will be shown to-night and Tuesday. “I’m No Angel,” stars the “Come up and see me” girl,'Mae West, who is colorful as Tira, the million dollar *’ beauty, who tames savage lions and men with equal facility. Mae sings several songhits, dances the midway, a Remarkable dance in which she moves everything except her feet; puts her head in a lion's mouth; utters a succession of smart sayings, which probably will be heard everywhere, as was “Come up and see me sometime.” The othdr picture is “Friday the 13th.” Most folk are superstitious on some point or another, and when a Friday coincides with the thirteenth of the month they naturally expect the most dire happenings. “Friday the 13th.” takes a number of characters on a bus journey one Friday night on the thirteenth of the month. While a thunderstorm rages, a crane on top of a tall building is struck by lightning and crashes on the bus, killing two people and injuring others.

MANNEQUIN PARADE. Ladies and gentlemen will be interested to know that another mannequin parade, entirely different from the previous one, is to be held at Schaef’s Hall, to-morrow evening. The last parade, which proved very novel and entertaining, was voted an outstanding success by the large assemblage present. All the newest styles in ladies’ wear will be shown. You may have the very latest in clothes but you may not know how to wear them, so let Greymouth’s dainty mannequins show you how. An added attraction will be the appearance of several young men, displaying the latest in men’s wear. The following firms will be represented: C. Smith s, Murray’s, Tymons’, Peters, Miss King, Hallenstein BrQs., Tate s, Hannah’s. Mercers: Manson’s, A. Harrison, C. G. Moore, Kim Williams. Vocal and orchestral items. Dance to follow.

R.S.A. BALL. Merry and bright, and financially a. marked success, was the R.S.A. Ball which was held in the Ahaura Memorial Hall on Friday evening. The stage which was draped in curtain effect, formed the basis of a gay decorative scheme. The spacious ballroom, with masses of bush foliage, which lined the walls, gave a vivid <note of colour, and made a. charming background, for the many Pretty frocks. The long supper tables in the adjoining marquee, were artistically arranged with blue irises and ic land poppies. The Gaiety Orchestra (Greymouth) dispensed excel^ t music, and splendid extras were contributed by Misses Jean Becker, and Paul Streamers and confetti distributed during the dance caused no end ot tun.
