The Williamstown races were held in showery weather. The Williamstown Cup resulted: Gothic Gem 7.0, (Dempsey) 1; lolaus 7.6 (Elliott) 2; Worthing 6.12 (Murphy) 3. Sixteen started, including Nightly, Master Briefly and Palm Queen. Won by a half a length; half a neck. Panto Was fourth, then Lelite, Bro.ad Arrow, ■and Flail, with Nightly tenth. Nightly ran-like a tired horse, and F. D. Jones is wondering whether Nightly has had enough racing for the time being. Time 2.311. In the Rawson Stakes, Lady Primrose (Debham) was unplaced. In the Ozone Handicap, (first division) Salt Spray ran unplaced, and in the 01tona Trial Handicap, Oriel, Melisande and Cape Lilock were unplaced.
WIN FOR KING MARCH. SYDNEY, November 17. At the Rosehill races to-day, in the Two-year-old Stakes (second division) Treasure Trove vas unplaced. In the Maiden (first division) Pladislah was seventh, ; and in thq second division Ruling Queen was unplaced. Results: — November Handicap.—King March (N.Z.) 8.4 (Lightfoot) 1; Senior (N.Z.) 9.0 (Britt) 2; Magnitas 8.4 (O’Sullivan) 3. Ten started. Won by a long head; half a length. Time 2.7. The stewards inquired into the reason why the New Senior, lost its position near the half mile, and accepted the explanations of G. Price (trainer) and Jockey E. Britt, for the latter allowing his mount to drop back without apparent justification. GOLDEN HAIR RETURNING. SYDNEY, November 18. The New Zealand horse, Golden Hair, is aboard the Wanganella, also a three-year-old, Fersen, by Verbins from Gallantry, purchased by Mr O. Cox, New Zealand. Fersen is a brother to Oratory. MISS MERCIA HAS FILLY FOAL The ten-year-old mare, Miss Mercia, owned by Mr J. Darwell, of Greymouth, yesterday produced a black filly 'foal to Mullaboden. ___
