REEFTON CLUB MEETING tTO THE EDITOR.] Sir, Please allow me a little space to vent publicly a pettiness getting a hold in our Reefton Tennis Club The annual meeting was called only for financial members, no one minds that if it were only to select officers, and a committee from financial members. It is the first time it was ever done that way. As a rule, and with most sporting clubs members can make themselves financial when they rollup at the meeting. I take exception to the “hole, and corner” way of rounding up a few members to make themselves financial before hand. Last season correspondence appeared in the papers criticising Reefton “doleys” even daring to play Tennis. I say a “doley” member can be' as good a sport as the selected few financial officers. I hope that all dislikes and pettiness will not get a hold in our Reefton Tennis Club. Yours, etc., DOLEY No 1.
