TENNIS LONDON, September 15. At Eastbourne, in the South of England tennis championship finals, Sharpe beat Andrews 6/3, 6/3, and Miss Round beat Miss King 6/4, 6/1. In the mixed doubles semi-final, Hare and Miss Ridley defeated Andrews and Miss Heeley 6/4, 2/6, 6/4. CYCLE ROAD RACE. The Greymouth-United Cycling Club staged a race from Karoro to Cam : erons, and return, yesterday. The event was won by R. Lewis, with J. Taylor second, and J. Daniel third. Fastest time was secured by L. Hogarth, who with his club mate D. Clarke, will compete in the Oamaru to Christchurch road race next Saturday. I. Baker and D. Henderson, failed to finish the course. The placings were: R. Lewis (4.45) 1; J. Taylor (5.20), 2; J. Daniels (1.45) 3; D. Johnston (2.50) 4. Also started: I. Baker, D. Henderson (5.20); J. Archer (4.45); D. Morland, R. Daniels (3.40); E. OAMARU TO CHRISTCHURCH. CHRISTCHURCH, September 17. Ninety entries, from various parts of New Zealand, have been received for the Oamaru to Christchurch road race, 170 miles, to be conducted next Saturday, to decide the New Zealand road championship. The scratch men are H. G. Watson (Christchurch), C. Burke and H. Snowden (New Plymouth), A. N. Ralston (Dunedin), W. J. Lambertoh, L. G. Thomas, S. W. We'r (Christchurch) and L. G. Lukey (Amberley).
