WEATHER FORECAST. General inference: An anti-cyclone of moderate intensity covers New Zealand, the centre being over the South Island. A deep extensive cyclone, however, is located over the northern Tasman Sea. Forecast: Moderate east to northeast winds, and gradually freshening. Weather fine and milder. Seas smooth to moderate.
