A large motor-lorry, owned by Mr. S. R. Wylde, of Greymouth, which was parked on the north side of Mawhera Quay, near the Tainui Street intersection, on Friday evening, was struck a glancing blow by a passing lorry, with the result that portion of the side of the stationary vehicle was ripped away. The other lorry did not stop, but was later found parked in a lane near the Railway Hotel. It is owned by Mr. T. H. Currie, of Cobden, a grain and produce merchant. There was no sign of the driver when the lorry was found.
