SIR J. JEANS’ ADDRESS. [British official wireless.] RUGBY, August 31. The Presidential address at the annual meeting of the British Association for the Advancement of Science, which will be held at Aberdeen from September 5 to 12th, will be delivered by Sir James Jeans, on “New World Picture of Physics.” As usual at these meetings, the speakers are addressing themselves to many practical questions such as nutrition in relation to disease, the problem of noise, and questions affecting the rearing and feeding of cattle. Scores of other subjects by eminent scientists in many fields, vary from; discussion on ascorbic acid, which is, the Vitamin that prevents scuryy, to a popular account of the interpretation of the spectra of the stars.
