AVEATHER FORECAST. General inference: A depression approaching from the west, has now passed the southern portion of the South Island. A secondary depression is probably following it, blit pressure has risen rapidly over south-east Australia. Forecast: Strong westerly winds, backing to southerlies, within next 24 hours. Weather unsettled and squally with further rain on the ranges, snow, and becoming cold. Seas rough.
