“PRICE-CUTTING” AIM. [BY CABLE —PBESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] (Recd. August. 31, 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, August 31. A. F. Kirkland, President of the Master Bakers’ Association, made allegations at the Royal Commission inquiring into the baking industry, of blackmail in the trade. He said that men established bakery businesses and then indulged in price-cutting tactics, for the purpose of being bought out from the Master Bakers’ Stabilisation Fund. The fund had cost the master bakers between £7OOO and £BOOO yearly.
