Relph, paying his fli’st visit to the country, went with his uncle to look for liens’ eggs. In one nest there happened to be a bantam’s egg. When Ralph saw his uncle stoop to pick it up, he exclaimed: “Put it back, uncle! Don’t you see that one isn’t ripe yet?”
