DIVORCE IN FIVE MINUTES. LOS ANGELES. July 18. Mrs Fleapor McAdoo, wife of Senator’ William McAdoo, formerly .Secretary to the Treasury and a candidate for the Presidency in 1924, obtained a divorce here to-day 20 minutes' after filing her petition. The ground of the divorce was incompatibility, and the petition was not opposed. The proceedings in court occupied only' about five minutes. Owing to this speed in reaching the decision. Judge Collier, of the Superior Court, has ordered an inquiry to make sure that all legal processes were duly followed.' Mrs McAdoo, who is a daughter of the late President Wilson, complained that the climate of Washington, where Senator McAdoo had to spend a long period every year, did not suit her. The wedding, which took, place., in. the'White House in 1914.’ was one of the most brilliant social ceremonies of the season.
