ENTERTAINMENTS

OPERA HOUSE—TO-NIGHT. Perhaps the most uproarious sequence of the hilarious “Hawleys of High Street,” the 8.1. P. comedy which will be screened this evening and Thursday, is that in which Bill Hawley settles his account with the local pork butcher, Bert Busworth. Bill ran up a rather big debt z with Bert, and determined to pay it off in a lump sum. But this account was very different from others. It had been accumulating for many years, and was for business injuries and personal insults during that period. The settlement was a big scrap in the shop. It is the funniest imaginable.
