WEATHER FORECAST. General inference: An intense anticyclone is now centred near Sydney, and extends across the north Tasman Sea towards northern New Zealand. Forecast: Moderate to strong south-west winds, decreasing gradually. Weather cold and changeable, with scattered passing showers. Seas rough.
