OPERA HOUSE—TO-NIGHT. Wheeler and Woolsey are starred in "Diplomaniacs,” to be finally screened to-night. In addition to this feature a Charlie Chaplin comedy, “The Rink” will also be shown. FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. The secret of manv a. child’s success on the stage is revealed in “Stage Mother,” a drama of theatrical life, to be screened on Friday and Saturday. Adapted from an original story by Bradford Ropes, the picture deals with the intense ambition that causes “stage mothers” to drive their children to success. The- heartbreaks and laughs encountered by the youngsters on their way is brought vividly to the screen. Alice Brady is featured. A Laurel-Hardy comedy, "The Music Box,” will also be screened. At Blackball, to-night, “When Strangers Marry” will be screened, while the picture to-night at Runanga will be “Dr. Bull.” At Wallsend tonight the “International House” will be screened, and .at Hokitika to-night “Stage Mother” will be shown. A REAL OLD-TIME BALL. The Brunner Old Boys’ Association are holding their annual Old-Time Ball in the Wallsend Hall to-morrow night, and a real old-time programme is arranged. The Gaiety Orchestra is in charge of the music arrangements, and the numbers include Lucky Spot, Monte Carlo, and other novelties. Greymouth patrons are catered for by a ’bus, which leaves the Post Office at 8.30, and returns after the ball.
