WESTLAND F.A. MEETING.
The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Westland F.A. was held, last evening, there being present; Messrs W. Robertson (chairman), E. Flood, E. Airey, J. B. Paton, W. Rafferty and C. Restieaux (secretary). An apology for absence was received from Mr F. M. Smyth. Referees’ reports were received as satisfactory from C. Hogg, R. Nelson, C. Restieaux, A. Hamill, C. Hodgson, and F. Smyth. It was decided to ask the Taylorville Club for an explanation of the non-appearance of their third grade team last Saturday. Tt was decided that the Waiuta Club’s affiliation be accepted, and that a match with Waiuta be arranged for July 22. . The New Zealand Council advised a team after being elected a member of such club forty-eight hours previous to the match.
S. Knapp was transferred from Greymouth to Marist. FIXTURES. Fixtures for Saturday wfere arranged as follow: — Chatham Cup:—Dobson v. Runanga, at Victoria Park, 2.45 p.m. (Referee, S. N.Z. F.A. COUNCIL MEETING. WELLINGTON, June 26. The N.Z. Football Association Council, to-day, refused a late entry from Greymouth Club for the Chatham Cup. July 14 was approved as the date of the Auckland —Wellington F.A. trophy match, at Auckland. The match had previously been set down for July 21. With a. view to obtaining a visit from the Australian team next year, it was decided to enter into negotiations with the Australian governing body. It was agreed that New Zealand should offer a third of the net profits. A letter was received from Wanganui Association asking if it would be possible to play the North Island final in the Chatham Cup contest there. The Council decided to offer Wanganui the N.Z.F.A. share. 50 per cent., of the net profits if the local Association would guarantee £3O towards the payment of rail fares.
