A try scored seven minutes before time gave victory this afternoon to Wellington, who registered lb points, with three tries, two converted, and a penalty goal. Taranaki led by 11 to 10 at half-time. The Wellington scorers were Barry (forward), two tries; Dellabarca (forward), a. try; and Griffiths, two conversions. fiord (three-quarter), and Young (forward), scored tries for Taranaki, Collins (full-back) converting a try and a penalty kick. BUSH v. WAIRARAPA. CARTERTON, June 20. Bush defeated Wairarapa at Carterton to-day by eight to five. Evi' dently it was Wairarapa’s unlucky dav for thev crossed the line seven times in the first spell, either losing (lie hall or landing in touch-in goal. There was no score till late in the second spell, when Bush backs started a rush which was carried on by Mahoney, the latter scoring in a good position, and Udy converted. A few minutes later Booth was caught onside under the goal, and Udy o-oalcd. With ten minutes to go, \vair’arapa got on a brilliant back movement, which saw Booth score. He crossed at the corner, dodging his way to the goal. Fitzgerald converted. With a minute to go there was a tree kick from the side-line, hut Henn tailed leaving the scores —Bush 8;, Wairarapa 5. Mr H. J. McKenzie was referee.

INANGAHUA SUB-UNION.

fl'lic weekly meeting of the Inangahua Rugby Sub-Union was held on Tuesday evening, there being present Messrs W. J. Barry (chairman), L. JiAustin, A. Palmer, H. Hocking, H. Kearns (secretary) and J. Crossman. It was resolved to apply to the Minister of Internal Affairs for a share in the draw of an art union, and also that the local authorities be approached regarding the running of an art union in the district. Fixtures for Sunday, June 21, on the hockey held at the Reefton Racecourse are: — Junior: Cronadun v. Waratah. Referee, H. Hocking; time 1.30 p.m. Senior: Waratah v. Ikamatua, at Ikamatua.
