22 KILLED —15 INJURED

A motorbus skidded on a hillside at Pola De Gordon, in the Province of Leon and toppled over the embankment of a railway just as the Asturias express was speeding through the cutting. The engine hurled the bus to the river below. Twenty-two of the occupants were killed and fifteen injured.
