The Heathcote County Council, at its meeting last evening, decided to [ restore 5 per cent, of the cut imposed on the wages of employees, inIvolving an amount, of £250 a year. In 1931 a cut of 10 per cent was imposed. DUNEDIN SMASH. DUNEDIN, June 9. 11 is estimated that, about 20 per cent, will approximate the loss of mutton in the railway smash al Kensington yesterday. The consignments for Glasgow and Avomnouth are intact, it being the Liverpool shipment that suffered. The steamer Cambridge will probably be delayed for a couple of days for a new shipment.
