RUNANGA NOTES
| OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. I Mrs T. Currie, who has been an inmate of the Grey River Hospital, has returned home. Mrs R. Southward entered the Grey River Hospital on Saturday for treatment. On Saturday evening the Runanga Caledonian Society entertained about forty fellow Scots from Denniston and Burnetts Face at the Societysi fortnightly Ingleside. There was a large attendance of members, and an enjoyable evening was spent. Chief Graham welcomed the visitors, and expressed the hope that it would be the first of many such visits. Chief Clark returned thanks on behalf of the visitors, and said he hoped that tlie Runanga Society would return the visit in the near future. During the evening items were rendered by the following:—Misses Bell, McLean, Allen, Mesdames Wright, Roper, Allen, and Messrs Airns, Hamilton, Richmond, Wright, and Allen. The Monte Carlo was won by Airs Hay ami partner, and (lie Lucky Spot by Miss McGrath and partner. Music was supplied by Marley Bros., the Gaiety Orchestra. and Piper Cullen. The party loir on return lust evening.
