WEATHER FORECAST. General inference: A very intense depression now covers the Dominion, barometers being extremely low in the far south. Forecast: Strong west winds to gales, backing shortly to south-westerly. Weather unsettled and boisterous, with heavy rain at times, and snow on the highlands. Becoming cold. Seas heavy.
